  • 1.  IBM Data Studio / Installation Manager installation error

    Hi there,

    I am trying to install IBM Data Studio 4.1.4 on Windows 10 Enterprise. While installing IBM Installation Manager getting this error message:

    "There was a problem loading the shared library and finding the entry point"

    I tried running the installation file with admin privilege also but got the same error message.

    I am following these instructions:

    Download and install IBM Data Studio 4.1.x

    What is missing from my computer ?

    Hello Gagan,

    Are you installing Data Studio V4.1.4 or updating an old version of Data Studio?

    Did you download the Data Studio V4.1.4 code from Passport Advantage?  Here is the part number that you should be using: M03DGML

    If you still have problems after downloading the Data Studio code from Passport Advantage, please create a case with IBM support team, and our team will be glad to assist you.

    Finally, I am able to install IBM Data Studio. I had to install this version of IBM Installation Manager first: agent.installer.win32.win32.x86_64_1.9.2006.20230925_1323

    Hello Gagan,

    I am glad to hear that you were able to install Data Studio now.

    Just make sure that you install Data Studio APAR 2 and APAR 4, according to the following link:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7047717 (just ignore the APAR 3 part).

    That way you can avoid problems with log4j and some known issues in Data Studio.
