    On August 3, 2021 we officially announced the End of Service date for IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator Version 5 and 6 with an effective date on April 30, 2023.  You can read the announcement letter here: https://www.ibm.com/common/ssi/cgi-bin/ssialias?infotype=AN&subtype=CA&htmlfid=897/ENUS921-079&appname=USN

    We hope that this isn't a surprising date for you, as we spoke about this "unofficially" on multiple occasions in the past. The date is in line with the End of Service date for the PureData System for Analytics N3001 generation appliances (aka Netezza or "Mako"), which is the only hardware currently in support for Version 5 / 6 of the Accelerator. 

    The replacement program for Version 5 and 6 is the latest Accelerator Version 7.5.x. This will require a new investment in Z IFLs, either on IBM Z or on LinuxONE, as the second deployment option for Version 7.5 called IBM Integrated Analytics System (IIAS), was withdrawn from marketing on June 30, 2021.     Hello Dennis,
    is there a preview date for the End of Service of IIAS? 
    Believe that we need to make plan to migrate IIAS and make new investment in Z IFLs and storage, if we want to keep this technology.
    Would like to know how many years we have ahead.

    Hello Chiara, 

    there wasn't an official communication yet about the End of Service date for IIAS but I expect that this will follow the same pattern we had with the Netezza Appliances, which would be EoS = EoM + 5 years. With this, the End of Service would be in 2026 but this can of course change.
