  • 1.  dmctop for DB2 11.5.9 on zlinux (SLES15)

    Posted Thu May 30, 2024 05:24 AM

    Hello ,

    Just installed DB2 11.5.9 on a zLinux server running SLES15 SP5.

Apparently , db2top (yes , I know, still using db2top :-)), is not running on this new server as certain libraries (libncurses.so.5) are not available anymore on SLES15.

Is dmctop supported on zLinux SLES15 SP5 ?

If so, where can I download it ?

    Grtz

    Filip

    Hi Filip,

dmctop is usally shipped with the Db2 installation and located in sqllib/bin/dmctop. I am not sure if there is a version for z/Linux installed.

You can install dmctop on Linux (x86_64) / Mac / Windows and monitor Db2 on z/Linux remotely.

The current version of dmctop is available here: https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/swg/selectFixes?fixids=1.0.4.1-dmctop&product=ibm%2FInformation%20Management%2FIBM%20Db2%20Data%20Management%20Console&source=dbluesearch&mhsrc=ibmsearch_a&mhq=dmctop&function=fixId&parent=ibm/Information%20Management

    Regards,
    Gerhard
