Simplified rollout
The configuration rollout of QMF for Workstation related to Repository Connections and the JDBC library has been simplified. Administrators can monitor the new configuration rollout on the QMF Server UI by using the Message Groups view.
Message Groups – With this new view, administrators can monitor the new configuration rollout on the QMF Server UI.
QMF 13.1.1 adds to its already-comprehensive list of supported databases and data sources.
- Cloudant: You can perform all the CRUD operations on Cloudant documents and Cloudant indexes.
- Spark: All the QMF objects are supported with Spark. The current JDBC interface for Spark supports running queries and fetching results.
- Snowflake: All QMF objects are now supported by Snowflake, along with Amazon Athena and Amazon RedShift.
- Avro and Parquet file formats: You can now import and export data in these file formats.
Several user productivity enhancements have been made to boost the flexibility and capability of QMF for Workstation and QMF for WebSphere:
- Both components can be installed on Windows 11 and Linux 8 operating systems and are supported with the Java 11 runtime environment.
- Error messages for QMF procedures are enhanced with line numbers and the error cause to simplify troubleshooting.
- A new view called JS Procedure log view is added to improve the error reporting of JavaScript procedures.
- You can now see the application name of the current client when you run a query on the Db2 database by specifying the application name in the clientprogramName field on the JDBC Advanced Properties dialog box.
- The global variables of QMF for TSO and CICS that begin with DSQ are now better handled in QMF for WebSphere.
