Db2 Administration Tool: Defining your own primary commands

By Kate Wheat posted Thu May 16, 2024 11:19 AM

In IBM Db2 Administration Tool, you can define your own primary commands, in addition to the commands that ship with the product. After you define a primary command, it can then be issued from any command line in the product.

For example, you can define command  UTIL <member>  that runs the Db2 command DISPLAY UTILITY for the specified data sharing member. Your commands can run Db2 commands, SQL statements, or ISPF statements.
