Db2 Administration Foundation for z/OS (Admin Foundation) relies on Zowe as a prerequisite for many of its modern user interface capabilities. However, IBM’s distribution of Zowe is not packaged with Db2 Administration Foundation nor with Unified Management Server (UMS) because Zowe can be used by customers in many different ways and with many different IBM products.  In terms of support for Zowe:

• Admin Foundation users are entitled to support for the two Zowe components that are used by Admin Foundation: the Zowe Desktop and the API Mediation Layer.  Although Zowe consists of four separate software components, Admin Foundation uses only these two.

• In addition, because the Zowe Desktop is a Node.js for z/OS application, Zowe entitles Node.js support for the specific use case of the Zowe Desktop used with Admin Foundation. That is, Node.js support related to Zowe Desktop is included with the Zowe support that is provided by Admin Foundation.

 
When Admin Foundation users report a technical issue with Admin Foundation, UMS, Zowe, or Node.js, they should report it to the Admin Foundation Support team. If necessary, that team will route the issue to the appropriate related Support team for resolution.
