I’m extremely excited to introduce IBM Cloud Private Experiences.  This is an opportunity for you to take ICP for Data for a test drive without installation or cost.  With a simple click of a button, you provision your own ICP for Data environment and have the option of following a guided interactive tutorial, or trying the whatever product features you desire.

The guided tutorial takes you through the process of collecting, organizing, and analyzing your data to build artificial intelligence (AI)-powered apps.  As an example, look at how to build a predictive finance model:

Scenario
: You are responsible for upgrading a legacy application for loan approval at a large bank. The current approval process is extremely resource-intensive, involving manually checking credit scores, debt, income, and so on.  You desperately need an automated process using machine learning (ML)/AI models for real time lending approvals in seconds.  Luckily you can use ICP for Data to provide the necessary building blocks to modernize your application.

To build a predictive model, follow these steps with your data:

  1. Collect: The necessary data to build your models isn’t currently available on your local catalog. Use ICP for Data to connect to a remote database to gather and catalog the necessary information.
  2. Organize Data: Ensure the data you collected is compliant with corporate financial terms and policies.  Join and transform data from different sources through ETL processes for ease-of-use.  Preview the data for quality in building your AI models.
  3. Analyze Data: Build, deploy, test, and manage your newly-created ML model. This step is where you build a predictive model using data defined in the Collect

In the near future, you will be able to build, deploy and manage a modern web or mobile application that can take online mortgage applications and process approvals in real time by invoking your ML model.
