  • 1.  Updates in PowerAI docker image

    Posted Mon October 16, 2023 01:47 PM

    Hey there,

Just wanted to reach out and ask about the PowerAI Docker image available at https://hub.docker.com/r/ibmcom/powerai. We've been using it for running TF-Lite models on our PowerPC system.

However, it seems like the image on Docker Hub hasn't been updated in about three years. We're curious if there are any plans to update it soon or if there are newer alternatives that support the newer versions of Tensorflow, PyTorch, and other related tools.

On a related note, we're also wondering if there are any PowerAI or similar images that support ONNX-runtime for inferencing ONNX models. If anyone has information on this, it would be incredibly helpful.

Thanks a bunch in advance for any insights you can provide!

You'll want to look at the Rocket Software-packaged versions of the OpenCE (the replacement for PowerAI base) builds:

There's a build of ONNX as well.
Have fun doing your AI on Power!

    Greetings Glen,

    Many thanks for your input.

The RocketCE docker images worked like a charm!
