HI Krista, I replied to you yesterday but I am not quite sure it went thru, so I will write again, just in case.
Thanks for checking out on me, It is an honor!
I have a "multi dimesnional parallel approach to learning" . The use of the fancy words is due to the fact that I don't consider it multitasking.
One day, I will be glad to explain to you how I achieve that, because it is a psycologycal treat I have, due to chidlhood trauma. But please do not worry, my way has been of a healer, and I have had the luck to be loved by my family and friends, and I pursued knoledge in many different areas, Psychology, neuroscience, Buddiusm, art and literature, That was my healing path.
So, to the point, Yes, I am currently learning from 3 courses on coursera. I am refreshing my algebra, which I learnt when I was 8, by myself, but then I forgot some periods of my life, due to same problem I mentioned before. Only now I have been able to recover those moments and knoledge.
I am also learning (seriously) about molecular biology, reinforcement learning with concurrent control, LALE, upgrading my python knoledge. Anyone would easily say, jack of all trades and master of none, but I do not see it that way. I see it this way: I am able to have deep understanding of many complex disciplines and knoledge. I am also able to use that knoledge in a creative way, connect the dots, design solutions. but, and luckyly, I cant implemet, or develop those thins by myself, becasue it would require that I become fluent in all those areas, and that would take too much time. So I see myself as the middle man, between technology geeks and pros and experts, and the end consumer, or the end beneficiary of those solutions. Also, I can do that in multidisciplinary teams, to unite poeple that otherwise coule easily miscomunicate due to their professional differences and approaches.
I also was a head excecutive chef for 20 years. Gave food to up to 300 people in bussy mediterranean summers every single day, high quality gastronomic food, with no mistakes and my team united and motivated even if the heat and excess of work was killing us. So I am used to work under pressure.
I was an outsider, living a simple life with my wife and kids and dog, the real wealth in my life. But now, I felt the call, and I want to help, so even if this seems like I am aplying for a job, it is not the case. I want to make a team, be part or lead one, I can do both, and my interest at the moment is to create short term solutions to help vulnerable people around the world. My opinion, based on a 20 hours per day feverish interpretaction of a highly trained news feed, is that things are going to get worse before we get out of this. But it is also my firm belief, that we have a unique chance of redefining our societiies towards a more just, diverse, inclusive and sustainbale world.
sorry for the extensive sharing, its way more than I wrote yesterday, but hey, if we are going to engage in team work, lets make it meaninful!
Best regards
