IBM Champion Michael Miller!
We will be spotlighting our Cloud Champions on our community to bring their amazing expertise to our members.
This week, meet IBM Champion Michael Miller. He's Senior Systems Engineer for Mainline Information Systems. His favorite IBM product POWER as he has worked and grown up in the IBM i space for the past 23 years. Michael is new to our program and has been an IBM Champion for 1 year and his favorite type of advocacy to perform is speaking and sharing his expertise.
His motivation for becoming an IBM Champion, “Early on in my technical career, it was difficult to navigate and learn the technology. I found my peers, at the time, usually kept their knowledge within and didn’t share much. I’ve always been an advocate of sharing to help mentor, train and educate others in my profession. Being an IBM Champion has not only helped build credibility but also provides a platform to continue with my motto – “sharing is caring!”
One thing Michael is proud of he was involved in the inaugural running event called the Dopey Challenge at Walt Disney World which consists of running 4 consecutive days with a build-up of race distances including a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon. Since the original conception of this event back in 2014, he’s completed the challenge 4 times! And if we weren’t in technology, he would be an FBI Secret Agent or a Navy Seal, WOW!
