It’s designed to assist clients with migrating AIX, IBM i or SAP HANA workloads to Power Virtual Server. IBM Expert Labs will assist clients with the planning, building and migration of an on-premises workload to Power Virtual Server, with advice on follow-on recommendations for backup and disaster recovery for the new Power Virtual Server cloud environment.
Utilizing the deep technical skills and broad Power Virtual Server experience of Expert Labs can accelerate your migration time by up to 2x. It lets clients confidently migrate workloads to Power Virtual Server and understand day 2 operations and capabilities to manage Power LPARs on Power Virtual Server. The service also ensures that you use best practices established over multiple migrations for your applications, data and networking.
The pre-defined scope of the offering is the migration of two LPARs to IBM Power Virtual Server, with up to 4TBs storage/data. Additional LPARs are available for purchase at an additional cost. Limited to one connection from one client data center to one IBM Cloud data center, with up to two network segments within the IBM Cloud data center.
This fixed-price offering empowers clients to quickly order outcome-based professional services without the time-consuming effort and complexity typically associated with the development of a customized Statement of Work. These services will be automatically billed through the client’s IBM Cloud account upon completion of the migration services engagement.
