Cadence and IBM — This is where the most important innovations start

Cadence Design Systems and IBM are doing some incredible work together adding value to Electronic Design Automation (EDA) workloads. If you are working with EDA, take a look at the following case study: https://www.ibm.com/case-studies/cadence-designs

One quote in particular from Paul Cunningham, Cadence Senior Vice President and General Manager of System & Verification Group caught my attention:

You’re running a program to deliver a new silicon product, and you’re in the crunch time where you need to deliver a certain quality of results, meet verification goals or make sure you’ve done enough testing. Time is of the essence, and you want to burst to the cloud as quickly as possible. Several years ago, there was no way to do this. You had to deal with hurdles either around security or lift and shift or other things. Now, with Cadence OnCloud, we can really do it.

Lots of other great information in the case study. Cadence is an expert in EDA and having their tools available in hybrid and flexible way opens the door for optimizing performance, time to results and cost.
