Today at Think 2024, IBM announced the open-sourcing of its most advanced and performant language and code Granite models. By open-sourcing these models, IBM invites clients, developers, and global experts to build on their strengths and push the boundaries of AI in enterprise environments.
Available today under Apache 2.0 licenses on HuggingFace and GitHub, the Granite models are distinguished by their development quality and efficiency. Ranging from 3 billion to 34 billion parameters, these models target use cases such as application modernization, code generation, bug fixing, code documentation, and repository maintenance.
