IBM Champion Profile

Started out waaaay back when with Z80 assembler and 1K Tiny Basic... Moved up onto Mainframes in 1986 at Westland Helicopters PLC, Yeovil, Where I joined for "six months corporate experience" and stayed there for nine years(!) doing QMF, SQL, Assembler, COBOL etc. Then emigrated to Germany in 1995 to work at SCHUMANN AG doing their security software, SAM, where I did SQL, Assembler and COBOL coding. Moved into the DBA group there doing all the DBA style stuff. In 2003 I then joined SOFTWARE ENGINEERING GmbH and have been there ever since doing Db2, SQL, COBOL, ISPF etc. Developed the Real-time DBA Expert suite of Db2 database maintenance programs based on Real-time statistics tables. 

I love holding presentations and I try and do both IDUGs every year!
