I have another presentation to a university talking about mainframe coming up tomorrow evening, this time at Illinois State University, a university with a long tradition of offering a mainframe education.  I plan on sharing a couple slides, but one that I don't have, which I would like is a world map that shows where all of the mainframe companies are located just so students have a better idea of how it is a worldwide solution and not just United States.  Does anyone know if such a slide exists

I reached out to a few folks internally to see if it exists.

I don't know if such a slide exists. Would sure be interesting to look at such a map!

You can add Sweden to the list at least, if that helps :-D

I could swear I saw one at the Data Tech Summit last year, but can't remember who had it.

Greg, I couldn't find exactly what you wanted, but I just emailed you two slides that could perhaps get that point across.

The more I was thinking about it, I think it might have been Haakon that had the slide as part of his keynote at DTS, so it was probably where Db2 is running in the world, which is still good.  I'll reach out to him.

I wish I had known about your presentation. I am in the Peoria area and would have tried to attend.

I just sent a connection request on LinkedIn, we do this quite often at several Universities in Illinois, and always trying to find companies to attend and talk about their need for mainframe skills.  We usually share via LinkedIn, but this time didn't because I already had several employers interested.  In fact there will be something happening at University of Illinois-Springfield at the end of March, details are being finalized.  I've also been talking with ICC right over by you, they are going to be starting to teach COBOL soon.

@Karla Houser    I know our team is working on additional events at Illinois Universities ... I'll let them know your general area so we can reach out on future opportunities.
