Summary
The reframing of corporate priorities brought on by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting turbulent labor market have elevated HR leaders to a more strategic position as partners to the business. Unfortunately, many cross-organizational planning strategies don't address these priorities, and overlook HR practitioners as a necessary participant in the planning process. Here's why it's high time planning strategies and tools take HR into consideration.

Speakers

Ann-Grete Tanoversees the operational functions of QueBIT comprising consulting service delivery, product development, marketing, and demand generation. Despite this broad portfolio, A.G. still considers herself a technical consultant at heart, leveraging a background in Computer Science and an MBA to help customers automate their planning and reporting processes. As a consultant, A.G. built workforce and labor planning models for many different industries, but as a manager and a leader she has had to wrestle first-hand with the over-arching business questions of recruitment, employee retention, skills management, training, morale, culture, and so on. This combination of experiences has strongly informed her observation that companies who embrace the strategic value of HR – and who leverage technology well - have a clear advantage over the companies that don't.
