Hi, You are on the right path. You do have to create the subset in Architect. However you either need that subset to be part of the view you are opening in PAW, or you need to choose the subset from the drop down in the view editor. The alias does not show up in the dropdown, but it will be used. ...

Hi, When you say you add it as a type "C" using a TI function, which one did you use? If you use: DimensionElementInsert(DimName, InsertionPoint, ElName,ElType); Then the element will exist in your primary hierarchy even if you later use HierarchyElementComponentAdd(DimName, HierName, ConsolidatedElName, ...

Hi, Do they have SSL configured for the SSO? If so and they change the name they are trying to reach the server via, then the error you are getting may be related to the name they entered not matching the name in the SSL Certificate. Good luck!! ------------------------------ Scott Brown ---------- ...

Hi, Unfortunately, I am not aware of any way to join dimensions to create a single line. You might be able to do a stacked column chart with the months stacking on a year column. For your information on future cube creation, now that PA has hierarchies, it is possible to split a single continuous time ...

When you are going to tm1web are you using the FQDN? Is the FQDN used in the TM1s.cfg for the CAM connections? If you are still having issues, it is probably time to open a ticket with IBM so they can check the setup over with you. ------------------------------ Scott Brown --------------------- ...

Hi, That sounds like the Cognos Analyics side does not have the right setup in the configuration files. This article is for an older version of TM1, but should still apply. https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/unable-log-tm1web-service-parameter-was-not-specified ------------------------------ Scott Brown ...

Hi Stefan, What version are you on? The reason I am asking is I want to know if this is before or after the split out of tm1web to its own installer. If it is after you have to change the ports so the pmpsvc and Planning Analytics Spreadsheet Service (PASS) are not both using 9510. Does the plain tm1web ...

Hi, You need to call a sub process that is not tied to the main process. To do this, you create a new process that is just used to update the process cube with start time and the in progress status. Then in the main process you call this sub process using: RunProcess(ProcessName, [ParamName1, ...

Hi, I have been having this issue on one of my servers since installing 53. Are you opening new books as free form or as templates? I had more luck having the databases show up if I used templates. I have a support ticket open with IBM and they are currently looking into the issue. ------------ ...

Hi, Have you checked the Planning Analytics Cognos Configuration for the IBM Cognos Application Firewall? If that is enabled, then you need to make sure the host name is entered in the Valid Domains or hosts. This is true even for the host that is running Planning Analytics if you use links. --- ...

Hi, Before Workspace 2.0.53 it was possible to select multiple items, however only the last item selected was used in views. This was fixed in PAW 2.0.53 so you can no longer select multiple items. There is an open enhancement request for this feature to be added to Workspace. ------------------------------ ...

Hi, Analplan is good for prototyping or a very fluid model, because you can add or remove dimensions from cubes, and the interface is easier for new users. Anaplan only allows calculations along the measure dimension of a cube. TM1/PA has the ability to tailor calculations on multiple intersections ...

Hi, ATTRPUTS is the original function before IBM added hierarchies. ElementATTRPutS is the new function that specifically adds hierarchy as a separate parameter, but is otherwise the same. They also added the "dim:hier" so that the original functions would work with other hierarchies. HierarchyAttrPutS ...

Hi, You could try setting up one of the sample instances with the same security and seeing if you can expand their process list. If it worked you could move the processes over to the sample database and see if it stopped working. Then remove processes to try to find the problem process. ---------- ...

Hi, What happens if you only rebuild one hierarchy at a time? Maybe add a parameter to determine which hierarchy to rebuild. One other note, on the checks if the attributes are empty, you should probably use greater than 1 because in most cases you are adding a "-" so even if the attributes are empty ...
