we would like to report our cognos analytics licenses.
However, there are still licenses reported/counted for e.g. inactive users (active directory accounts). I understand that if a user no longer works with cognos analytics,
his license for the product will remain forever and is still counted.
In order to not count this license the user needed to log-in again to Cognos.
So how can we clear this mismatch?
you can clean up the license overview with Consistency Check in Content Administration. This deletes old account-references.
kindly advise where I can find the Conten Administration.
Guess in the meantime you know the Content Administration function (at Administration > Dispatcher and Services area).Just wanted to mention that users that still exists in the authentication system will no be deleted with this functionality, even if they no longer have any permission inside of Cognos Analytics (no capabilities assigned). To clear this users you need to remove the user profile inside of Cognos Analytics.
