Thank you
@Matt Hopkins- The reorder for sets does indeed work as you indicate. However, the calculations do not appear in the set editor, and are thus not reorder-able in that fashion.
- The searched metadata results in members, which should be able to be dragged to either the row or column axis. Exact same search/results worked in CAFE, but does not work in PAX. Documentation is a bit fuzzy... in the documentation about metadata search, "drag to axis" is described when you're searching a TM1 cube, but right below that in doc is info for searching within a cognos analytics package.. and verbiage about dragging results is omitted...
Would be obliged if someone could tell me for sure if it is supposed to work and we may have a potential mis-configuration in PAX, or on the 11.1.6 server side... or if search on a CA package no longer supports drag-and-drop of results.
BTW - I've tried all PAX versions from 52 forward... these 2 issues are consistent in all versions I tried.
Thanks!

Subject: Upgrading from CAFE to PAX - Missing Functionality?
Hi Rich,
The Reorder/Rename feature was removed from PAfE (PAx) in favor of managing order from the set editor. PA calculation order can be managed through the set editor and I would assume the intention is that CA calculations can be managed in the same way.
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSD29G_2.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.ug_cxr.2.0.0.doc/c_pax_new_features_2_0_48.html
On the DMR search item, please check that the report axis supports the metadata being dragged. If you are able to drag the item from the tree, then it should work from the search dialog as well.
@Ted Phillips any comment?

Subject: Upgrading from CAFE to PAX - Missing Functionality?
Reply (Reposting from Cognos Analytics forum as I think Planning Analytics forum might be a better fit for my questions - thanks!)
I am planning on upgrading our 800+ CAFE users to the latest version of PAX.
As I tested PAX I noticed 2 things that appear to have been removed. I wonder if someone could verify that this functionality is indeed removed and/or if there is new functionality I should be using that replaces the old.
1. I can no longer reorder siblings on an edge in an Exploration. While I can reorder sets, I can no longer reorder values like a set, calculation1, calculation2... if I want to move, say, calculation1 to the left of the set, I cannot. The reordering appears to be limited to members within sets only.
2. I can no longer drag the results of a Metadata search from the search popup to my Exploration when using a Cognos Analytics DMR package as my data source.
Are these functions deprecated? Is there an alternative means of ordering columns or inserting members from a search result that I just haven't found in my testing?
Thank you in advance for your insights!
Rich
