Unable to Edit own Report ?

  • 1.  Unable to Edit own Report ?

    Hello team. 
    I use Cognos report for years, being a former IBMer, and now Kyndryl. 
    Untill recently I was able to edit my own report, Adding Columns, Changing Filter, etc. The bas eof this Report is WFM/CMO report I have customized 
    For now it seems I only can run the Report.
    Do I miss something.
    NB : This is the only own report I run in Cognos

    Hi Philippe, watching at the icons I guess it is a Query Studio analysis and not a Report. Please have a look if the combination of your Cognos Analytics version and your browser type & version is supported by Query Studio.

    Hello
    Please find here a full frame picture of the tool.
    It seems I have wide access to Admin console ???
    I can RUN a report I had created long time ago, but unable to edit it.

    Hi Philippe,

    can it be that your profile has been denied the capability of Query Studio? You can check in your personal user info in Cognos:
    Go to "My preferences"
    "Personal" and then show "Advanced" and click on "View details":
    Is QS still there?
    Otherwise you have to check your browser. Query Studio runs in Internet Explorer or Firefox.

    Nice job without your help I would have been not able to identify the root cause. : The "creation" is missing

    Hi Philippe,

    you should ask your system administrator (IT department?) to check your rights and capabilities in the Cognos Administration. Maybe there was a change in user/group rights management.

    Jean, No idea of who is my IT Dept and I know no one using Cognos.
    Are there any support team who could handle this ?

    How do you access Cognos? Did someone send you a link? Does this link references an internal server of your company or is it a IBM cloud link (ca.analytics.ibm.com/bi)?

    I access using this link : https://baccbcap.w3-969.ibm.com/ca/bi/?perspective=home login with ocean.ibm.com
    and I use it for many year (at least 2016 ) while I was IBM, before being thrown outside last year ;-) 
    I also use This link to get the Report_Index of WFM reports

    I must admit that I do not use a cloud environment for our data and reports. Therefore, I have no idea who to contact regarding your problem. If it's not your browser, an expert who manages your Cognos should chime in.

    Hi,

    I have similar issue with CA12 we upgraded to version 12 .

    We have 3 env's Test,UAT,Prod and interestingly Test and Prod has no issues and running obsolutely fine.

    The issue is with UAT env wherein when i click on the Edit report option i am seeing a balk view.

    And when open the report as well i am seeing an error.                 

    Please find the attached screen shots for your consideration and help.

    An also when i click on the report it after running for sometime it gives the following error.
