Yeah IBM desperately wants to kill off Transformer - even tried when Cognos 8 came out (or was it 10?) and there was such uproar in the community they reinstated it. Then dynamic cubes were supposed to replace it but never got to the point to duplicate it and now Dynamic Cubes are (or soon will be) deprecated in place of DataSets / DataModules.
Still, IBM has essentially done zero development on Transformer / PowerPlay Server since Cognos 11 was released. Only just occasional tweaks to keep it working with later versions of Cognos 11.
We have a lot of users still who ONLY use Cubes and love them. We want to explore DataSets & DataModules more but as of yet haven't been able to upgrade past 11.1.5.

I believe the latest version was "IBM Cognos Transformer: Design OLAP Models (v10.2)", Course Code: B5282G, Duration: 4 days.
