Hi Chris, also not sure why there is that limitation but you can work around it using a calculated member in MDX.

Using this technique, you could stack multiple aliases and have them in the workbook, should you export the view.

Does anyone know why, in the Cube Viewer, you can't display alias attributes alongside the members. When you click on Show Attributes, the menu only displays the text and numeric attributes of the members in the dimension/hierarchy.
I'm sure there will be a good reason why they don't/it wouldn't make sense but I've found myself on a few occasions wanting to put alias elements side by side in the view to provide more context to the user without having to create a new attribute that combines them.
