Regarding Universal Reports formerly known as Dynamic Quick Reports, what are the prerequisites to deploy Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE) Version 2.0.90 and TM1 Web / Planning Analytics Spreadsheet Services (PASS) Version 2.0.90 on premise ?

According to the Product Documentation, the Planning Analytics on Cloud (PAoC) customers who intend to use TM1 Web / PASS Version 2.0.90 must upgrade their TM1 Server software to Version 2.0.9.18 Interim Fix 2 (IF2) or higher.

What about the on premise customers ?
The ones running the Planning Analytics Local (PAL) software Version 2.0.9.18 ?
Do they have to deploy Version 2.0.9.18 IF2 or higher of the PAL software ?
If so, how do they get the IF2 or higher for PAL Version 2.0.9.18 ?

Important: To align with the launch of Universal Report's expanded features, including TM1SET usage, IBM Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel 2.0.90 requires IBM Planning Analytics TM1 Web 2.0.90 or a newer version. Planning Analytics on Cloud customers must request their TM1 Server be upgraded to 2.0.9.18 IF2 or higher for TM1 Web 2.0.90 to be deployed on cloud.

I'd like to add to this.

What version of PAW is required?

    Hello John,

On other post I am talking about difficulties to have "universal reporté" on Local PAFE.

    I install/upgrade with this recommended :

    PA 2.0.9.18

    PAFE 2.0.90

    Tm1Web 2.0.90

    Workspace 2.0.89 (the last one)

And I can't create Universal Report without crash.

I ask to Ibm support : Answer : PA 2.0.9.18 IF2 does'nt exists for Local on premise

I have a opened ticket with IBM support, I will give some information where solved.

    Regards,

    Philippe

Your listed mix should be OK to operate Universal Reports, so we need to follow up on the specific findings directly.

My expectation is that your deployment topology or network may be atypical, and example of that would be covered in this document
    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/planning-analytics/2.0.0?topic=reports-configure-evaluationservice-distributed-tm1-deployments

Or if you have a customized SSL configuration without fully configuring trust.

PAfE 90 and PASS 90 are required to start using Universal Reports, for any platform. The remark in the second sentence is because on PA on Cloud, PASS is updated concurrently with the TM1 data tier, only.

For PA Local, there is no explicit version requirement of PAW or TM1 to start using Universal Reports - which is to say that any relevant version (anything released in the last 6-12 months) should work fine. For Software mix guidelines, please consult the mix conformance documentation pages, particularly for best practices.
