PAX loses connection when receiving a file from a colleague without pax

    Hello,

Pax loses connection to the server when I send the Excel file to a colleague for editing. He doesn't have Pax installed on his PC. He fills out the sheet, returns it to me, and when I try to commit, I can't find the server connection anymore, and I have to create it again. Has this happened to any of you? If so, how did you resolve it?

    PAX versione 2.0.77

    Thanks.

Massimo, There are a lot of questions that require answers before this issue can be diagnosed. What type of report are you using? Is the user without PAX overwriting the excel formulas....etc. I suggest you open a support ticket and they will walk you through a solution.

Would want to understand the report type, as Xavier said. Explorations and Quick Reports offer features in this vein (offline writeback staging), formulas based reports (and Universal Reports) do not.

Things to watch out for is if the user without the addin is doing something like copying/moving worksheets around, or if they are altering/resetting any [custom] document properties (intentionally or accidentally). Could compare the file as-sent, with as-returned to understand exactly what's happened.
