Are you asking about IBM Cognos? (I find the groups on the IBM Community website confusing.) If so, i have the following documented in a Word doc (hopefully it paste ok) and it is performed manually when space becomes an issue for one of our Cognos instances. We do not have an automated way setup to accomplish this and not sure if our instances of Cognos are setup in a distributed installation.
Reclaim disk space by deleting files in COGNOS
How to create more disk space on the Cognos BI Server as part of a maintenance plan

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21486423
Can delete everything in the following folders
If you get a file in use then just skip that file. Or delete all but ones created today.
ibm\cognos\Bankxx\data\cqe\RTModels
ibm\cognos\Bankxx\data\mfw4j\PMCs
ibm\cognos\Bankxx\temp
ibm\cognos\Bankxx\logs
Can also delete all files of the following types
They are most commonly found in the ibm\cognos\bankxx folders of bin, bin64 or wlp (c11?)
*.dmp type "crash dump files" or "dump file"
headdump*.phd type "PHD file"
Snap*.trc type "SQL Server Profiler – trace dump file"
Javacore*.txt type "text file"
Can delete older folders in ibm\cognos\Bankxx\ bkp folder
Do not delete the most recent folder. These are for rolling back a Cognos upgrade.
Turning off the Core Dump Files
Disable the Creation of Core Dump Files

Steps to Turn Off Core File Creation for IBM Cognos 8.1 MR2 and Later Versions
1. On the server where IBM Cognos 8 is installed, open the cclWin32SEHConfig.xml file from the c8_location\configuration directory.
2. In the configuration element, change the value of the environment variable setting to 0 (zero) so that it reads
<env_var name="CCL_HWE_ABORT" value="0"/>
If the original value is 2:2
<env_var name="CCL_HWE_ABORT" value="0:0"/>
3. Save the file.
