Hi Patrick,
One additional piece of information. The webview2 is only used for authentication, other aspects of FM still use the original IE methods. This means you will need to set the IE Enhanced Security on servers the same way for Windows servers as you do for the non-webview2.

Hi,
Do you have any idea/explanation about this strange, unexpected IE message?
Best regards,

Hi Trevor,
I try to install (with admin privileges) FM in a new directory (c:\fm).
This time, I'm able to start a new project, select a datasource, a table then I have the following error message:

I thought that IE error messages would disappear with Microsoft Edge WebView2... Did I miss something?
Best regards,

Hi Patrick,
Are you also launching FM as Admin or just installing it as Admin? If you have the ability, can you install it outside of Program Files to test it there?
I just spun up a new Windows 2022 VM, installed MicrosoftEdgeWebView2RuntimeInstallerX64.exe, installed FM as Admin to the default directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\ibm\cognos\fm) and launched without 'Run As Administrator'. I don't see any errors.

Hi,
I'm been trying to setup Framework Manager (v12.0.2) using Microsoft Edge WebView2 for authentication.
When I start Framework Manager, then I try to create a new project, I receive the following error message:
![](https://dw1.s81c.com//IMWUC/MessageImages/32fbae56528f47f192feac4ec610fe1a.png)
then Framework Manager crashes.
I did try to install (with admin privileges) MicrosoftEdgeWebView2RuntimeInstallerX64.exe or MicrosoftEdgeWebView2RuntimeInstallerX86.exe.
Framework Manager is still a 32-bit application. I've read (it is based on other IBM products already using Microsoft Edge WebView2) that the Evergreen Standalone Installer x64 download package is recommended.
