Hi Roger,
that's strange. In our systems we just have to activate the setting and it works. May it is something related to your report?
I can only suggest to open a support ticket at IBM and try to find out which setting maybe blocks the system from applying the data to the worksheet names.

Hi,
I already tried it, but maybe I did something wrong or it doesn't work at all?

Hi Roger,
there's an extended property that has to be set on (Batch) Report Service called "RSVP.EXCEL.PAGEGROUP_WSNAME_ITEMVALUE". Set it to "true" und Cognos puts the data item instances as worksheet names into the Excel file - if applicable.
See:

Subject: Dynamic tab labeling in excel output
Hello everyone,
I have the following question: I have a page set that repeats internal pages via Master/Detail. The output is Excel. How do I get the labels of the tabs in Excel to be equal to the value of a data field?
The default behavior of v11.2 is that the tabs are named as the page is named in the report definition, i.e. Page_1, Page_2 etc.
However, I would like the tabs to be labeled Customername_1, Customername_2 (a different customer) and so on.
How can I achieve this?
Greetings from Germany
Roger
