Dropdown Checkbox Prompt

    Hi,

    Is there a way to accomplish a drop down checkbox prompt to save some real estate in the report. I have all the prompts on top of the report page.

    The free version of CogBox comes with a dropdown prompt. When you set multiple:true, it becomes a dropdown checkbox prompt.

    Hi Paul, I can't install Cogbox free. 
    I've added to the extension panel, but I don't see it on the application bar. 
    Any suggestion?

    Do you mean you've uploaded the extension but you're not seeing it? What version of Cognos, and what browser are you using?

    I know in one of the 11.1.7 versions there was a weird issue with jQuery. I've had to make a separate branch specifically for that. Can you try the attached version? It's a beta of the latest version that should hopefully be officially released soon.

    If this is preventing Cognos from opening, you can easily remove the extension by adding &factoryMode=true to the end of the URL

    Example:
    http://<SERVER>/ibmcognos/bi/?perspective=content&tab=teamContent&folder=i99AB393FCB4847D599F5CD0B0D9BF6C7&factoryMode=true

    or
    http://<SERVER>/ibmcognos/bi/?factoryMode=true


    This loads cognos without any extensions, so if one is breaking it's easy to remove.

    Can you open the developer toolbar and paste a screenshot of the console? I'm really confused why it's failing, it's working great on my laptop. I am testing on 11.2, so  I'm trying to turn on my old 11.1 server.

    To open the developer toolbar you can press F12, or Ctrl-Shift-I


    I just tried this on my 11.1.7 environment and it was working great.

    I have removed the extension but randomly the problem keeps showing up during the navigation.
    Now we are trying to fix the environment and later we can try to install the component.

    This definitely shouldn't be causing any problems after the extension is removed. Absolutely nothing is changed on the server when installing CogBox. Removing the extension also removes the spec.json, so the JS files won't even be called. My offer to connect is still open. I'm available morning CET.

    We have fixed the enviroment;The problem does not depend from CogBox. 
    Now we have successfully install the CogBox.
