    Hello Cognoids,

    business department requested to have column headers in crosstab.

    Found solution by adding empty cells to crosstab and then hiding the edge of the crosstab and the fact cells with boxtype none. 

    This works well in HTML and Excel. But not when using Cognos for Microsoft Office.

    This works well when exporting to Excel.

    Cognos for Microsoft Office

    Importing the reports into Excel using Cognos for Microsoft office shows the "hidden" cells again.

    Any ideas on how to achieve column headers in crosstab when using Cognos for Microsoft Office?

    Might this be a bug?

    I spoke with someone who knows this area well and he feels that this is working correctly and that they area you are looking at is expected to either have a messure in it or nothing.  You should log an IBM Idea:  https://ideas.ibm.com/
