Compatibility of Perspectives with Windows 11 and excel version (32bit/64bit)

  • 1.  Compatibility of Perspectives with Windows 11 and excel version (32bit/64bit)

    Hi all,

I'd like to ask if perspectives (of the latest version of Planning Analytics) is compatible with Windows 11. Also, I'd like to know what version of excel is compatible with, 32bit or 64 bit.

I check on product compatibility site but I found only server side software and OS compatibility. If you can provide a link that I can check client tools (architect, perspectives etc.) compatibility it would be appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Pantelis Stavroulidakis

    Hi Pantelis,

Perspectives is not supported on Windows 11 (although it might work).

Only 64-bit Excel is supported by Planning Analytics for Excel on Windows 11.

It might be time to move away from Perspectives?

    Hi Pantelis,

Thanks for this information about Perspective and Windows 11.

about "move away from Perspective" ... don't forgot that we can do a lot of thing with perspective .... and not with PAFE (Print book, data spreading, sandbox, several slice ou active form in same sheet, etc .......)

    Kind regards,

    Philippe

    Hi Philippe,

Well, you can certainly use sandboxes, do data spreading and have several active forms on the same sheet in PAFE. Could it be that it might have been a while since you have used PAFE? Maybe it is time to give it another try  ;-)

Also remember all the things you can't do in Perspectives: Use formula less modes, work with alternative hierarchies, have auto calcs on etc.

Granted, there are things missing, but also allot of great new stuff :-)

    Hi Pantelis,

I noticed that Perepectives and Architect are now both officially supported on Windows 11 :-)
