Java Database Connectivity driversYou need to restart Cognos with Cognos Configuration.
If it is not working, you should create a new original thread for this issue.

Support for MariaDB (integrated and regularly tested) started in ~11.0.5 where Dynamic Query is required, and connections would use MariaDB J/Connect.
If you are using Compatibility Query mode, and using ODBC, while it may work, MariaDB/MariaDB ODBC was never integrated/tested.
