    With my team we provisioned Cognos Analytics 11.2 using VPC infrastructures, a virtual server running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and connect using VPN.

    Data Module, Dashboard and Administration Panel work. The same is not happening for Reports (std and active).

    Steps to recreate

    • Create a new report
    • Connect to data module
    • Save the report on personal folder / shared folder

    Error:

    `The requestor cannot connect to the provider at the URL http://iux-cognos-vsi:9300/p2pd/servlet. Code: {1}.`

    Challenges

    • We ensured that Host link is correct (on Hosts file for Mac).
    • This issue was not documented in the community (as far as I know).
    • Restarting the virtual server did not help.
