  • 1.  Cognos 11.1.2 QE-DS-0020 "Oracle" server version

    We are upgrading to cognos 11.1.2 - we tried oracle ojdbc8.jar & ojdbc6.jar . does any have share your thoughts please 

    QE-DS-0020 "Oracle" server version "Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bit Production With the Partitioning, OLAP, Data Mining and Real Application Testing options" at "jdbc:oracle:thin:@/srever:port/datamart" is not supported.

    Hi Chandra,

    Are these versions correct? To my knowledge Oracle 10g has reached its end of life a few years back. https://www.oracle.com/us/support/library/lifetime-support-middleware-069163.pdf.

    Also, our Cognos Analytics 11.1.2 does not show support for Oracle 10g. You can view the compatibility report, simply enter Cognos Analytics in the product, select your version and when the report opens go to the Supported Software and click on the Data Source link. https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity/softwareReqsForProduct.html

    ORACLE 10 is not supported, only the versions of 12c, 19c and 21c which ORACLE is supporting.

    If I recollect, ORACLE discontinued supporting ORACLE 10 in 2013.
