We have a customer requesting to implement active - active high available PA environment. We know that there is now PAW distributed can support HA but on data (TM1) side active-active configuration not supported by default and there might be only some workarounds with replications /shared data folders. Do you guys have any experience with any type of active-active TM1 environment, can you please suggest a best route for HA.

    Hi Jack,

Have you looked at the functionality of replicating cubes? This allows you to replicate cubes from one TM1 database to another. You have the ability to synchronize the updates across the copied cubes.

Even with our legacy products, clients used to make use of this functionality to create hot or cold backups.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Robert,
We you're talking about replicating cube you mean the "old" synchronize stuff based on logs or is it a feature I've missed ?
Could you point to the documentation related to this feature ?
    Thanks,

    Hi Robert,

It's the rep & sync from our legacy TM1. It's still valid today but not in our PA Cloud.
Not just the logs, you can also replicate cubes and connection between two TM1 databases as well.

Hi Jack, Bob and Robert, if the customer is seeking the long term procedures, the replication won't be available on v12, TI processes to replicate the cubes could be a better solution; the TIs are fully supported on Cloud.

    Hi Svetlana and Robert,
I know this repl & sync feature as I was using it a while ago, so glad to see  I didn't miss something.
TI processes is a good solution specially if you use Cubewise Bedrock library which is full of tech gems !
