Yes, we have fields containing more text and to display on Report as well as searching functionality on specific text within such objects.
With FM, We are not seeing such issues. If excel is able to hold it, in my view there should be work around to get all text string if there is limit of 5000 char per field.

I can confirm that the limit is 5,000 characters. There is no configuration or other setting that allows this to be changed.
From a point of interest: what kind of data are you looking at? What kind of functionality would you leverage to work with data?
