The possible workaround could be in adding the string element to your measure dimension though it may slow the cube performance.
Another option could be in creating the additional cube to hold the comments , then you'd add the widget to the book and synchronize between the selected slices. That second option is often used for the commentary on the budget.
Both option would allow you to have the comments in synch with the sandboxes.

We've tried to use PAW comments in conjonction with a sandbox and as the comments are stored in a cube, I was expecting that comments entered in a sandbox didn't impact the "Base" but unfortunately it's not the case :-(
Is it a bug ?
