John - I posted a comment on Mike's blog post on Resilience recently, asking about how failover will work in the new release. Could this be added to the Ask Me Anything questions? I appreciate this is likely to be WIP but it would be good to hear about IBM's thoughts on this.

    Hi folks,

The recording of @Michael McGeein's Wednesday's Planning Analytics Roadmap webinar is now available for viewing at https://tm1explorers.com/courses/latest-webinar-recording/lessons/planning-analytics-tm1-roadmap-nov-21/.  You'll need to login to watch it, but it is so worth it!

Mike covered som amazing changes to PA for the next 12 months, including things like:
    • Planning Analytics NextGen and what it will mean for you, including:
      • How PA NextGen is NOT being referred to as PA version 12 because it will mostly have identical function as v 11, but will be deployed inside Cloud Pak for Data only.
      • The possible differences between the CP4D version and v 11.
      • The implications for CP4D and whether you can deploy NextGen and CP4D on Windows or not.
      • The continuation of PA version 11 as an actively developer product.
      • Support of PA v 11 and how long he expects it will remain supported.
      • The future of
        • TM1Web.
        • Architect and Perspectives.
        • TM1 Applications (Contributor)
    • Addition of new multi variate forecasting capabilities in PAW and more dynamic use of forecasting in PAW.
    • The evolution of PAX and the addition of Dynamic Quick Reports.
    • Changes in PAW administration.
    • The use of Shared Sandboxes.
Make sure you watch the Q&A session in the second half as well as Mike offers some very clear answers about the direction IBM is taking Planning Analytics. It was a really awesome session!

    Cheers,

    John
