Workbench – tips & tricks on the modeling object layout

By Svetlana Pestsova posted Thu December 01, 2022 04:52 PM

I’d like to share with the community members the modeling object layout that I often use.

While working with the TI scripting the focus is usually on the left side of the screen with lots of the white space on the right side. The names of the TI processes could be quite long, they fill the tab space fast, it means that I need to use a drop-down if I need to check another process or object. The dropdown is on the right side of the screen, so it’d be taken time to go to the top right side and open it. I may want to test the script results on another object that I may keep on the right side to save my time.

The benefits are the following:

  • It removes the white part of the script.
  • It saves on the navigation time.
  • It allows to see the script and the target of the script for testing purposes.

To get this layout - there are many way to adjust the assets, one way would be to simply drag and drop the object into the right grey area appearing on your action:
This layout will be preserved during a save and reopen of the workbench next time.
Save your time and enjoy some coffee!
