Allow Listing changes to IBM Planning Analytics on Cloud

IBM Planning Analytics on Cloud currently supports both FTPS (File Transfer Protocol Secure) and SFTP (Secure File Transfer) protocols.  Customers are automatically provided with FTPS file transfer services, but they can select the protocol that is most convenient for them.  Both protocols do support Allow Listing.

Allow Listing permits customers to limit access of their web and file transfer services to only specific public IP addresses and ranges. All other connections will be denied.   This additional security may be encouraged by your local security policies and is optional. Customers may work with their local IT departments to develop a list of local public IPs traffic connecting to the Planning Analytics on Cloud service may originate from and submit these to IBM Support.

Allow Lists are applied by environment web address (URL) and now extend to our SFTP service.  Your Allow List applies to all connections to your environment.  Allow Lists can be managed at any time  by engaging IBM Support.

SFTP Allow Listing will be applied by default to all web applications, remote desktop and FTPS/SFTP and will be allowed for all Customers. Allow Lists are applied to all connections to your environment and can be managed at any moment by contacting IBM Support. Allow List can be different for Production & Non-Production environment. FTPS is controlled by Windows Firewall while SFTP is controlled by SFTP Secure System.

Allow Lists are applied broadly to all services in your environment by web address (URL) and File Transfer connections.  We do not currently support unique allow lists for the same web address (URL).
