Urgent Security Bulletin
IBM Cognos Analytics: Apache log4j Vulnerability (CVE-2021-45046). This issue is categorized as Critical Severity. Apache Log4j is used by IBM Cognos Analytics as part of its logging infrastructure. This bulletin addresses the exposure to the Apache Log4j (CVE-2021-45046) vulnerability. IBM Cognos Analytics has upgraded Apache Log4j to v2.16. Please note that this update also addresses CVE-2021-44228. Stay abreast of the latest remediation and fixes here. You can also raise a support ticket here if you need assistance.

IMPORTANT Information for Clients that upgrade IBM Cognos Analytics after applying the no-upgrade instructions to address log4j v2 vulnerabilities - Running a DQM (Dynamic Query Mode) report or testing a database connection returns an error. 11.2.1 Base Samples  - An Easy Install of Cognos Analytics installs and imports the base samples for you. If you didn't use Easy Install to install Cognos Analytics, then you must import the base samples from the installation location. Check it out on the Accelerator Catalog here.
More Visualization Styling options. 
Additional properties for visualization styling on dashboards (11.2.0 and above). The sample extension named "" adds a number of properties to visualizations on dashboards, such as grid line color control and fill colors in tables. Download it from the Accelerator Catalog here.

IBM Cognos Analytics Reports app no longer supports MobileIron MDM. As outlined in a previous deprecation notice, support for MobileIron MDM has been removed from the IBM Cognos Analytics Reports mobile application. Details here.
