Meet Robb Sinclair, CTO at CoEnterprise an IBM Platinum Partner in Supply Chain, Data and AI. His mandate to lead the charge in ideation, conceptualization, and development of pioneering solutions across Supply Chain, Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
When it comes to his favorite IBM product, it was no surprise that IBM Cognos is the nearest and dearest, being by his side along his professional journey and its rich history, leaving a long-lasting impact on the industry. But if he had to give another IBM product a shoutout it would be watsonx for making big strides in recent years!
As an IBM Analytics Champion since 2017 and active member of the program for nearly 8 years, he has enjoyed participating in various forms of advocacy. Ranging from blog posts, community engagement, speaking at events, to sharing on social networks, he understands each format allows him to connect with different audiences and share valuable insights about IBM technology.
Robb embodies the core characteristics of being an IBM Champion: leadership and the transfer of knowledge to support the tech community. Inspired by the continuous innovation in IBM products and the diverse, vibrant community of professionals in Analytics, Robb is motivated to give back to the community by helping others maximize their potential and stay updated on the latest trends.
We know that Robb has been working with IBM technology his entire career. But when asked about one success story he’d like to share, it turns out it started at the beginning. He tells us,
“First on the mainframe, then iSeries and PC. When I graduated college in my first management role, I onboarded Cognos to that company (25 years ago). I was able to join a very successful Cognos consulting practice and eventually Cognos as an IBM company. Over the past 25 years I have used and advocated for Cognos, Infosphere, SPSS, Watson, Cloud Pak for Data and now watsonx. And it is still exciting every day!”
Robb is a problem-solver and innovator through and through, even if he wasn’t in the technology industry, he would be helping others through a career in custom woodworking and home renovations. (Are we surprised that he is multitalented?!)
It has been such a pleasure to learn more about Robb and to no surprise, he gave some great pieces of advice to anyone that is interested in applying for the Champions program. By showcasing your passion for IBM technology, you can help others learn, grow, and connect within the community, especially within your organization and with clients. In return, the IBM Champions program offers a platform for collaboration, recognition, and professional development for you and your extended community.
