Extending the End of Support for Planning Analytic 2.0.9.x

By Michael McGeein posted Wed November 20, 2024 04:46 PM

At IBM, feedback is a critical component of our roadmap, helping underscore our commitment to client success and their continued use of our products and offerings.

Our customers have expressed concerns about migrating to Planning Analytics 2.1.x before the end of the support timeline for Planning Analytics 2.0.9.x on April 30, 2025. As a result, we are extending the general support period for Planning Analytics 2.0.9.x until October 31, 2025. Extended support, an additional purchase beyond general support, will be available for an additional year, until October 31, 2026.

It’s important to note that IBM Planning Analytics versions will normally fall under a 3-year lifecycle for general support. We will be updating the support pages to reflect Planning Analytics 2.1.x is now supported until April 30, 2027.

Furthermore, to help ease the timing and transition from Planning Analytics 2.0.9.x to 2.1.x, we will be adding support for Microsoft Excel 2021 (Local installation on Windows) for TM1 Perspectives. TM1 Perspectives today only supports Excel 2016 and 2019, both of which have an end-of-support date of October 14, 2025.

The appropriate changes will be updated in support life cycle pages and RFAs in the coming couple of weeks.

Hello,

I have the same question. Do you have a timeline for TM1 12 on-premise?

Thanks,

Alex

Is this official? I see on this page https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/planning-analytics-local-lifecycle it is still saying April and this blog was from November 2024.

Would be fantastic if it is October 2025...

This is great news.

However, does the parallel-flight of v2.0 and v2.1 then also continue until October, or will v2.0 still be deprecated after April 25?

Thanks in advance!

Mike

Do you have a timeline for Server 12 local? If it as was suggested earlier this year then skipping 2.1 and moving to server 12 may be an option?
