As the second half of the year begins, it's essential to take a moment and reflect on the achievements and growth we've experienced at IBM Planning Analytics. Leading a team of exceptional product managers, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities we've had to develop the market's leading planning product, , at least in my opinion. In this blog post, I want to share some exciting insights with you, shedding light on our progress and what lies ahead.
Continuous Growth and Expansion:
IBM Planning Analytics has witnessed substantial growth in both client numbers and user adoption. I’m proud to report this growth in nearly every geographic area as our clients uncover additional use cases for our solution. This robust momentum sets the stage for a promising future.
Introducing Planning Analytics as a Service on AWS:
In the first quarter of this year, we proudly launched the all-new Planning Analytics as a Service on AWS. The market has responded with great interest, and we are thrilled to have early adopters already benefitting from this cloud-based planning solution.
Empowering Workflow Management:
We have made significant investments in leveraging Applications and Plans capability to enhance workflow management. Clients have embraced this functionality, and we have exciting plans to introduce additional features and functionality in the future. In the upcoming releases we will introduce the ‘accountability’ dimension, where the plan manager/admin can assign the approver flow along with ‘locking’ of the plan during the approval process.
Enhancing Planning Analytics Workspace:
To improve efficiency and foster adoption, we have introduced new capabilities in the modeling area of Planning Analytics Workspace. Our focus on enhancing the planning application creator experience has been well-received by both existing and new clients. With improvements to the cube viewer, user controls, set manipulation, and more, we are making planning seamless.
Our strategic direction emphasizes the importance of Planning Analytics for Excel. In the first half of this year, we delivered remarkable enhancements, culminating in the upcoming arrival of Universal reports in 3Q23. Hierarchy-aware formulas and more will become a reality for our Excel users, further enhancing their experience.
While the market has seen the entry of new players and changes among existing competitors, we remain steadfast in our commitment to guiding our path forward. Although new entrants may lack enterprise experience, and downsizing activities at other organizations may impact their output, we focus on our own growth and delivering value to our clients.
