Cognos Analytics

As we prepare to release Satellite Connector functionality into Cognos Analytics on Cloud to replace Secure Gateway in August September 2024, we wanted to detail the licensing model for utilizing Satellite Connector and what’s included with your purchase of Cognos Analytics on Cloud.

Satellite Connectors provide a secure connection between a specific remote location and IBM Cloud. Each connector needs at least one Satellite Agent running in your location to establish the connection. Each Satellite Connector can connect to multiple environments, support up to 6 Satellite agents and a maximum of 35 endpoints. Endpoints represent the service the Satellite Connector is accessing similar to a Secure Gateway Destination.

Each Cognos Analytics on Cloud paid customer will be entitled to one Satellite Connector. Trial users will no longer have access to connectors.
