Explore is a new studio that was introduced to Cognos 11.1. It is a flexible workspace where you can explore new and existing assets to get more insight into your data.

When Cognos 11.1 was released in November of 2018 this functionality was restricted to only the Analytics Explorer License.

We have now opened access to Analytics Users as well.

Now any customer on Cognos 11.1.x with an Analytics User license or higher can take advantage of Explore to learn more about their data.

There will be no license implication for giving this capability to Analytics Users in Cognos 11.1.x.

We have made improvements to Explore over the releases and you can read all about them here.
