Where did 2019 go? Another Supercomputing is upon us, and thankfully Denver is a bit warmer than last time.

LSF 10 Service Pack 9 is also released this week which delivers a number of new capabilities

  • LSF now had the capability to act as a common scheduler between LSF and Kubernetes/OpenShift, allowing jobs and pods to be scheduled in a consistent manner, and for these diverse workloads to share the same infrastructure thus reducing the total cost of ownership.
  • LSF's native container support has received a number of performance updates, including support for container affinity allowing new workload to be sent to hosts where the container image already exists.
  • A new resource connector for Microsoft Azure CycleCloud making it much easier and faster to take advantage of CycleCloud.
  • We've also added support for NVIDIA GPU's on ARM based servers, published a guide for LSF on DGX  and extended support for NVIDIA MPS to allow multiple jobs to share the same MPS daemon.
  • New templates for Jupyter, H20.ai and Tensorflow have been added to LSF Application Center, and for those wanted to create more complex dashboards, LSF Explorer now bundles Kibana.
  • The LSF Mobile client has been updated to support iOS13 and Android 10.

For those in Denver, we'll be covering the latest capabilities in LSF at the LSF User Group on Tuesday afternoon - we hope to see you there!
