We are excited to announce the new Cognos Analytics 11.2.0! For this release as you might've heard we have been focused on the new modern design following IBM Carbon Design System and let me tell you: the brand new Cognos looks beautiful!
What are the highlights of the new modern design?
Completely new home screen experience simplifies access to all of your favorite assets, brings in onboarding experience for new users, including fresh new video tutorials and accelerator content, all organized in easily consumable format. Improved search capability is front and center located directly on your home screen to help you drive the conversation by asking the right questions your business needs to answer.
How are we taking our AI to the next level?
Cognos AI Assistant is becoming more and more advanced with all the smarts brought in from our research teams. It can help generate a dashboard automatically, recommend the best visualization, or suggest questions to ask (via Natural Language Query) to help you dive deeper into your data exploration and get to your answers quicker. The AI assistant is not just for creating dashboards but it annotates (via Natural Language Generation (NLG)) them as well, with useful information about your visualizations. It is continuously learning and can even automatically generate a statistical forecast for you, like your own mini-data scientist. In this release we've introduced the very first Watson Moment, read about it in this blog: Introducing Watson Moments in IBM Cognos Analytics
We have added some new visualizations for you in 11.2.0 like Radar chart, Boxplot and more to even further surface actionable insights that can help propel your business for success.
Cognos 11.2.0 will also ship with built-in support for our recently released Analytics mobile app for both cloud and on-premise customers, as well as continued support for our Reports mobile app.
