IBM Z Resource Discovery Data Service 1.3.0 delivers improved security, support for PostgreSQL connect for Apache Kafka containers, and ServiceNow Configuration Item data modeling through the NowCertified IBM Z Discovery app in the ServiceNow Store.For more information, see What’s New.
- IBM Z Software Asset Management 8.3
IBM Z Software Asset Management 8.3 delivers enhanced capabilities for the usage monitor, search module, machine inventory report, repository, and job server utility. Detailed capabilities can be found as follows:
- Automatically discover and identify IBM and third-party software running on the z/OS platform.
- Provide high-speed scanning and in-house application tagging to help you generate a complete inventory of everything on your system.
- Monitor software usage and related growth to help plan for future capacity needs.
- Generate interactive reports that provide convenient hyperlink drill down for more details.
- Lower costs by removing unused and obsolete software.
- Get full asset and license management capabilities with the integration of IBM Control Desk.
- Enable improved performance in operational jobs and reduce database disk space requirements.
- Provide support for long running tasks via the IBM Z Software Asset Management 8.3 Software Usage Monitor.
