IBM Power servers are purpose built for data-intensive applications such as SAP HANA and S/4HANA that require large amounts of in-memory computing but still let you maintain the high availability and flexibility required for your hybrid cloud.
On April 8, 2025, IBM announced the new release IBM i 7.6. In this release, special emphasis was put on further hardening the system against vulnerabilities and attacks. This includes options to restrict dangerous operations for selected users as well as the integration of multi-factor authentication into the base operating system. General availability for IBM i 7.6 is planned for April 18, 2025!
The development team for SAP® solutions on IBM i is currently validating the new release to ensure its functionality and performance and to get IBM i 7.6 certified by SAP.
