Connect, learn, share, and engage with IBM Power.
Jasmine Kaczmarek, Vice President of Technology at M.R. Williams, has been an IBM Champion for two years, bringing passion for mentorship and deep expertise in IBM Power to the community. BRMS (Backup, Recovery and Media Services) is her favorite IBM product, calling it absolutely invaluable for its role in supporting audits and protecting her organization during a ransomware attack. Jasmine’s advocacy shines brightest in one-on-one mentorship, where she helps new community members find their place and grow into confident professionals.
Her journey to becoming a Champion was inspired by the mentors who helped her throughout her career. Now, she’s committed to give back by guiding others and expanding the IBM Power community. One of her proudest achievements came during a crucial personal moment, becoming a first-time mom. While on maternity leave, Jasmine was promoted to an executive role, and upon returning, she successfully built and led a high-performing team of developers. Balancing this transition with her new role as a mother was a significant and rewarding accomplishment, both professionally and personally.
Beyond her role in tech, Jasmine’s compassion extends to animals, her dream job would be opening a shelter or retirement home for senior and/or special needs dogs. She actively participates in COMMON events, POWERUp being her favorite for the powerful connections and community support it offers. Her advice to future IBM Champions is simple yet impactful: find a mentor, engage with the community, and don’t be afraid to start your advocacy journey. Jasmine’s story is a perfect example of what it means to lead with purpose, resilience, and heart.
